SUB ZERO DOG SLEDDING CLUB
In this project, I was given the scenario of a (fictional) regional recreational club requesting website promotional assistance to gain members and sponsors. This fictional club wants to host events, offer lessons, and rent/sell merchandise for club members.

Assignment Reflection
I used a lot of knowledge I gained from my VCOM classes when I designed website previously like hierarchy, organization skills, navigation, and logo design. Keeping hierarchy in mind was very important with this project as you have to design it around usability for a first-time customer/viewer. It is also good to consider how navigating components can help the user find information more quickly. I did learn new ways of doing interactions and building components in Figma that will be very helpful for the future. I chose to do my own research and not have any filler "lorem ipsum" text and fill it with actual information related to my topic. I feel like this helps it feel more real and shows that I put in time to consider adding completeness to the site.

My parents went to Alaska last summer and went on a dog sledding excursion. They said it was the best experience and they learned so much information about dog sledding. They also got to spend time with the dogs and their puppies in the snow. Through this experience, we found out one of our dogs is actually an Alaskan Shepard that is used for sledding. He looks just like the pictures of the sled dogs they were with! I find dog sledding very interesting, and I wanted to know more about how it went with the dog & musher interactions. I conducted research across many dog sledding websites.
